Below - Three young grey herons on sentry duty in their nest forty feet up on the canopy of a conifer forest. A scaffolding tower had to be built slowly to avoid disturbing the adult birds and a hide installed on the top platform to get this spectacular view.

Below - A robin has chosen a house wall for its nest at Great Broughton.

Below - A hedgerow of wild flowers

Below - A greater spotted woodpecker about to access its nest twenty feet above the ground in a decaying tree trunk at Pinchinthorpe near Guisborough.
